One of my primary motives when I enrolled for this course was to try and move to a different sector - may be electronic technologies. I had been working in the retail industry for over 5 years. Prior to joining on this course I was a Marketing manager for clothing retail company Apranga in Vilnius. I used to oversee advertising and sales promotions for them. The marketing management course at Glasgow Caledonian has helped me do just that. It has opened a world of opportunities for me in different sectors and industries.

Since English was not my native language I had to demonstrate English language skills and give in my IELTS scores. I had previously studied (BSc in fundamentals of economics and business) at the Vilnius Pedagogical University in Lithuania.

I have enjoyed the course. There have been some very interesting modules. The course advocates a lot of group work and you get to learn a lot from your fellow students.

Glasgow is not the most interesting city to live in ... I must admit that. When you compare it to cities like London and Manchester in does fall behind in terms of the social and night life. But it has its own charms and the city will gradually grow on to you.

When i graduated two years ago the market was much better. The job market is not looking great now but that being said I would encourage students to go and give it their all. It all boils down to how much the student uses the career services of the university, applies via external agents and works hard at getting a job.
