Its not the uni that’s fun but the kind of friends I have made. I am very happy with the kind of friends that I have made. International students keep in mind that if person from your home country is a student in your class, he is not necessarily also your friend. I have had a real bad experience with a student from my very own country. Its good to mix with people from different cultures, you can find great friends. Come out of your shell.
If you have the right documents its easy to get visa. One shouldn’t have much problem joining tafe because, the requirement for IELTS is not that high compared to uni.
I don’t know about scholarship for international students only heard here and there but never seen anyone except for the locals.
I am studying Hospitality, I was taught by a well trained chef. Very helpful and approachable and also understanding. The classes were held 4 days a week. Studies and the standard is well maintained. I am happy with my experience as a student at kangan batman.
I am from sri lanka, yet most of my friends are from other countries. For the first time I experienced multicultural atmosphere and it’s a rewarding experience. Finding job is a problem but if you have friends they can help you out easily. I am working in other industry and not hospitality at the moment. Staying together with friends very close to the uni. Also its good to own a car here for the first preference is given to people who have car when seeking employment. Best to join clubs and societies and mix around
Its been an experience of a lifetime and I encourage everyone to study here and mix around with people from other countries. And the diploma too is well respected when it comes to TAFE. Will join the alumni as soon as I graduate.
