ratingOverall experience

In James Cook University there are many international students and everyone here is so approachable. Also some of my classmates are from my country too. So I feel like I am studying in the same country as i used to before. No any hesitation, no scarcity because all classmates and lecturers are very friendly. I enjoy the time of my studies and good quality of education from the institute. I would like to stress the fact to the future students that Australia is the best place to study, which has many more universities and colleges,so many students whom you can make friends and so many high quality education. You feel proud for it.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

First step to reach Australia is to have an IELTS exam with score 6.0 and than collect documents which can prove that i have enough money to stay in Australia and have money for my overseas studies. All process takes arround 5 months. It will take time to get visa done. My advice is all documents must be true when you submit to the agent or direct to the immigration. Otherwise it may cause to get visa.

Yes, there are opportunities available of scholarships but i believe you have to work really very hard with high grades to get it. I did not know much know about this as i have pre-arragnged my course fees when i left my home country. So I did not go and look into scholarship. I am not able to get one as I dont want to study all the time, i want to study but also have fun and enjoy my time.

The best part about my studies is the way of learning at James Cook University. The teachers are punctual and well present the lectures with sometimes lecture slides on big screen. They are so friendly and willing to help online and offline and in person also. Sometimes if we need they give practical examples which are linked to the lectures and handouts of the lectures for us to study. We can even study online and get the materials. I studied 40 hours in total per week. The support is good but i think there should be more support given to the students but on second thoughts, we are in uni and we got to do our own things and learn ourselves, we are not in school anymore so learn to study ourselves. This is helping me to become a Independent person and organized.

James Cook University provides a wide range of facilities which is very good for us. I like using the computer labs if our institute lab is closed, i can access the labs 24 hours, its warm there during winter, some students also sleep there when they do assignments late night. I am working part time in resturant. local people are friendly.

ratingJob prospects

As I believe the study result will increase my job prospects. After i finish my course here in James Cook University I would think to go back to home country and will do business there. I will join the alumni association if i make good friends.
