I am not really enjoying my life because being an international student and paying more fees, there should definitely be more facilities, but not receiving any. I would advise that before coming here, the students should think twice and you should only come if you really want to do something. While selecting an institute dont go by the name instead try to find out everything about the institute before joining.
I applied for the visa myself and it was pretty easy. And after coming here i applied directly to tafe myself. IT was easy to get admission because i was an international student onshore.
I dont have any scholarship.
I am studying commercial cookery. My course is not up to the mark in comparison to the fees. I thought it would be good but it seems like just a waste of money. I like the practical classes the most, the lectures are ok, there should be more theory than practicals. They give questions before exams which is not preferable as everybody is going to pass. And regarding the tutors some of the chefs are excellent.
We have library, computer internet, 4 kitchen for practicals etc. I am living with cousin, it is pretty cheap. It was easy to get a job. I am not sure about the student union and the clubs as well.
I think as a result, i will be able to get a good job. I am not sure if i will be joining the alumni.
