Academics at NTU depends on the course you are willing to undertake.
Visa process was not diificult. Just straightforward provided you have all the documents. Had to give IELTS exam (Basic English language test). For this I attended coaching class at Trivedi Consultants in Mumbai. Very easy to get the tickets and flew in Kuwait Airways.Airline was good. But no students fare.I landed in Heathrow and is about couple of hours by road from our institution.30kg maximum baggage and extra was not allowed. No issues with the immigration, But no greetings on arrival. I didn¿t ask for it to the university. It is optional.
I was fortunate to get a fully funded PhD studentship via interview and group discussion.
The way the modules are run are good. There is definitely room for improvement. The course can be practical oriented.
I am living in private accommodation. Lecture halls, Library and sports facilities are well equipped. But still room for improvement. Difficult to get P/T job in the university. Social scene is good.Night life is good. But am not experienced in it. Weather is cold. Don¿t know abt any Indian students association.
Placement is there only in the IT sections. International find it pretty tough to get into jobs because of the visa restrictions and work permits. Global organizations attending these placement events. Normally it is not that much of a use for internationals. When you can get a native why look for some one from another part of the world. Getting a work permit happens once in a blue moon. The facts seems to be harsh. We have alumni societies. But am not well informed about these. Regarding pacements, I would go to career centre in the campus rather than going to alumni society.
Located in Central England.
