The Faculty of Education is a big Faculty, and it offered many courses that are highly up standards. After completing my undergraduate course with Honours, I decided to come to Melbourne Uni to do PhD and I was completely satisfied with that choice.
The selection process alright. I did some research on the University and I got accepted once I lodged my application. You had to prepared all necessary documents to be admitted. As I studied previously in an English-speaking environment, I did not have to take IELTS again.
I received IPRS funding which covered my tuition and living expenses. It was very good and it supported me a lot in my study. You can find the information on the Internet with Google search engine. Look for the keyword IPRS by Australian Government.
I did not have to attend a lot of classes like other people. Actually I just did research, and it took me 35 hours a week. I received all the support that I needed.
The surroudning of the University is very quiet and ancient-looking for me, especially during winter time. The Uni is high standard in technology. Accommodation was very affordable. I worked as a tutor for the school. I did not join any clubs or societies.
I am now a postdoctoral fellow at my home country. I joined the alumni association.
