UCSD is a terribly expensive school to attend. In general, coming here without financial assistance is difficult: getting funding after coming here is rare, and even if you get a TA, it won¿t cover the entire tuition expenses. Admission is pretty selective: you would need decent grades and even publications to be considered. Needless to say, proffing helps a lot.Contact profs really early, and do not hesitate to call them..Cost of living is high and you would most likely share rooms.(rents are $400-500 even for that). Otherwise great location and weather..
