The USA is truly a wonderful place for higher studies. I completed M.S. Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT. Then I enrolled for M.A. Finance at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. I followed this up with a PhD in Finance and expect to complete the program in 2010. US is a land of opportunities and I would advice students to apply here.
After completing my B.Tech., in Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, I moved over to the US to continue my studies. Passed CFA Level II. GRE 2360. GMAT 770. I did not have problems with regard to my selection and visa.
I was the recipient of Morgan Stanley Research Fellowship 2008-2009, Weiss Center for International Financial Research Grant 2007-2008, 2008-2009, Rodney L. White Center for Financial Research Grant 2007-2008 and University of Pennsylvania Dean's Fellowship for Distinguished Merit, 2005-2010.
I have had the opportunity to publish several papers at the university.
I have had some good industry experience here. I had worked as a Quantitative Trading and Research Analyst at Citigroup Global Markets Inc and as an Associate at Citadel Investment Group.
