I am Aravind from India and I took up my Ph.D at the Univ of Hawaii at Manoa. The university has got state of the art computing facilities, creative and learning work environment and highly qualified, experienced and resourceful faculty. The research which was going on in this univ at the time I applied was is in line with what was needed to be a successful bioengineer. The course fit into my background and my area of specialization quite well. I’ll recommend the uni and course to all future students.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

I got my visa easily…no issues. Look in the eyes of the VO, they just c ur eyes to c if ur telling the truth and nothing else. The Americans r pretty cool ppl, dont try to b too formal with them. I would advice all the students to keep the docs in order and try to find out as much as you can about the university and the course b4 the interview.

The thing I loved abt the uni was that it was totally committed to research. The dept invests a lot in modern research facilities and infrastructure, the faculty also encouraged research that benefits and involves the local community. On the whole a wonderfully structured program…I enjoyed to the maximum.
