It has always been my objective to apply and expand my knowledge of computer vision in a workplace environment. This pushed me to take up PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland. The university has been conducive to my progress in my chosen field.

I had completed my bachelors in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Pune. I think the fact that I stood within the top 10 in my senior year eased my way to the University!

I have been awarded a graduate research assistantship by the university.

ratingYour study experience

I am guided by Prof. Larry S. Davis in my PhD work. I enjoy working with him and have learnt a lot from him both academically and in terms of work ethics. Some of the research projects that I am currently engaged in include Tracking and Identity Maintenance, Bowerbird Project and Recognizing Actions from Static Images.

ratingYour life experience

I did my internship at ObjectVideo, Inc. Reston, Virgina in the field of Computer Vision. The experience was invaluable as it widened my views on Computer Vision.
