The learning atmosphere at the university was great. We had access to all the latest in the field. My advisor was Prof. Rama Chellappa and he had guided my in my Masters degree as well and I had developed a good rapport with him ….he was very supportive and motivated me a great deal. My interests were in the fields of Computational Photography, Computer Vision, Multidimensional Signal Processing, Pattern Recognition in Video (and other Light-field data) and Shape and Dynamical models for activity perception and recognition.

My experiences at the university were varied and interesting. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant I was a tutor for undergraduate courses including Digital Signal Processing and Probability theory. I assisted Prof. Chellappa with several Graduate level courses including Digital Image Processing, Pattern Recognition and Image Understanding. Taught quite a few classes in these courses and was in charge of projects and assignments for these courses. I also assisted Prof. Chellappa to design and conduct the Graduate level advanced seminar course on Pattern Recognition in Video. I was also an Undergraduate Mentor for a period of time at the university.
