I am enjoying my life at Rutgers. It is a big university and has a very good name. that helps us a lot coz companies come to Rutgers very often for interns etc. there are a lot of Indian students and active Indian associations at Rutgers that helps us feel at home! However, there still is a lot of scope for improvement. Intake should be less especially for Graduate School. Campus job opportunities and funding opportunities should be more. To people who want to come to Rutgers, my advice is that contact your seniors first. Ask about specific departments and funding in that department. Not every department of a top rated university is good. Seniors are very helpful, make use of this.
It was not easy to get into Rutgers. It's a lot of competition. I received no assistance from anyone but seniors in Rutgers. The process was not painful only the wait was too much. Visa etc were very easy. Travel was fun!
My course is MS in Food Science. It is a very industry oriented course. My class hours are about 5-6 hours per week. My course is not complete yet so I cant answer the rest of the questions.
Campus is very well equipped. The labs and research are unmatchable. The campus bus facility is awesome. There are many organizations for international students particularly for Indian students. I have part-time jobs to support my education.
