I have been here in Australia for more than 6 months. I am enjoying to study in James Cook University. I am Indian student and I have lot of friends here from India. It seems to study in my home country, the major difference is the way of learning and teaching style which i found it is comparitively easy. My advice to future student is You will get very good facilities from University the thing is you need to know how you will use it. If you do not know how to use you will find difficulty. You will also get very much support from fellow students and classmates.

It was not a problem as I contecting VIEC to get done my visa, so everthing became easy for me, I just been there when they ask me to want documents like my school results, my parents earning details, and many more. They helped me to choose University for me. The gave me some address who living and studying in Australia. All and all good experience.

Yes there is a scholarship opportunities for international student as well. I dont have to give you more information but yes you will get these on university web site.

My major subject is Accounting. The best thing i like to learn a software which is called 'MYOB' for putting the accounts data on computer. As I learned in my home country which is different with this. So it was the most enjoyable part of my study. We get good support from tutors and lecturers but the thing is try to solve by yourself if you can not than you should go to your tutors.

James Cook University is located in city area in Brisbane, it has a several branches outside Australia as well. Easy to get public transport which is advantage of the location. I am living bit far from city around 20 mins but does not make any problems. I am working part time it is easy to find in Brisbane.

ratingJob prospects

I am not sure that my results will increase my job prospects because it is not easy to find work as an accountant, after a very good result/grade in each subject it may possible to get good work. I will be keep in touch with my alumni after study.
