The campus was spacious with many great places to study. The lecture theatres were mostly big, spacious as well as fitting modern technical equipment. Make sure you know that from Central it does take awhile to get to uni during peak periods in the morning.
It definitely helps to get into UNSW if you have a higher UAI.
There were scholarships available but i know that many people who had these had to maintain an above average credit/distinction average. I found info on this on the UNSW website.
My course was great. The fact that I got to choose my majors was a huge bonus. I chose Marketing and Tourism and Hospitality of Management. The lecturers were heavily immersed within their respective industry which helped as they had the academic knowledge as well as practical experience. There were plently of HELP classes for you if you were behind or had no idea what the tutors or lecturers were talking about.
Randwick/Kensington is quite good as a campus because its not in the CBD which means that there are a lot less people. its not as frantic going around the school. Coupled with the fact that there is Coogee and Maroubra pretty close to school means that during breaks, the beach is only a bus ride away.
As UNSW is a reputable school with thousands of Alumni, you are well recognised and aided in the selection for jobs. The fact that lecturers and students alike had links to the industry helped in placement of grad positions.
