A good amount of research is underway at the university plus the affiliations of the professors makes Boston an ideal place to start ones Graduate program. The academic advice from the point of considering my program is for guys to get as much of research experience before entering the program.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

I had to take up the GRE/TOEFL. For certain programs a subject GRE test is prescribed. Self preparation. I needed a F1 VISA. I flew British Airways. The service was good and they offered a student fare/additional baggage allowance. Baggage rules with BA were 23kg*3 check-in and 8kg cabin. I landed at Logan International Airport, Boston. There were no immigration issues. The University did not offer a “Meet and Greet” service.

ratingYour study experience

The amount of research underway and the affiliations of the professors makes it an ideal place to start your Graduate program. Lecture halls are pretty good with the required ambience for a lecture session. Libraries at BU are conducive enough for studies.

ratingYour life experience

I live in a leased apartment with friends. Part time jobs on campus are easy to get so as to maintain living expenses. There are international student societies but not well organized enough.

ratingJob prospects

There is an Office of Career Services that orients students towards employment/interviews and also organizes career fairs during the semesters.
