The reputation of the Univeristy of Sydney is undeniable. There has been a huge flux of applications from overseas students all over the world to study in this Uni. I have been very fortunate to recieve the admission letter from them.
Well, it was tough as I was an international student. It is usually tough for even local students to pass the admission for Medicine. Anyway, I managed to study well in high school and I was offered the place. I was very serious about studying to become a doctor, so I decided that I had to try harder and harder each day by that time.
The tuition is very high for medicine, and I did not recieve any scholarship.
The course is very applicable for international student. In the last year, we did residency program and I had to go to regional areas. It was hard, so you need to be prepared. The teaching staff were very friendly and understanding. Most of them were very patient and pleasant to talk to.
I enjoyed Sydney life. It was vibrant, full of colour for me. I enjoyed the vivid atmosphere and the living environment. Sydney was a bit busy and noisy sometimes. I did not have part time job. Studying took most of my time. The Student Union was fine.
I was working at the moment for a hospital in Singapore. It is all thanks to my hard study at Sydney Uni. I still keep in touch with other fellow friends.
