I am really enjoying this course thus far. The most important advice that I could give to someone considering this course is to have an absolute love and passion for education, as that is what this course really is about.

It was relatively easy to get into this course. All I needed to do was fill in the application properly. My advice is to take a full day, or even two, to ensure that you fill in the application properly; answer the forms and attach all the right, often certified, documents properly.

There are a multitude of scholarships available with the University of Tasmania; they are actually very generous with what they offer. I suppose its in their interests because Tasmania, while a beautiful place, is also a small place and the institution would like to themselves to become more universally recognized.

As I mentioned this university is a comparatively small institution yet the teaching facilities were second to none. there is a personal level of attention that students get that I think may be missing from some of the larger institutions. The lecturers and tutors were all very helpful and would go out of their way to ensure that all the students, including myself, had full comprehension of all the concepts covered.

The facilities are just gorgeous; as I mentioned, very natural and on a luscious, generous space. There are many things "going on" on campus should you be interested in attending but I often wasn't really involved with them too much. It is not too hard to find part time work, especially seasonal jobs, like picking of Tasmanian apples etc

Definitely, my job prospects have increased because of this course. It qualifies me to teach English all around the world, in all sorts of places. I think my course is beneficical on two levels: firstly the English aspect. This course forces one's comprehension and knowledge of English to be excellent as it has to be if you teach it to others. And the second componment of this course is the teaching aspect; it provides a background for skills necessary if one wants to become a teacher, but this could be useful not just if you wanted to be an English teacher but perhaps teach other subjects one day.
