UQ is the Uni that has some exchange programmes with Danang University where I work. So when there is a project for teachers to come there studying, I was chosen by my empoyers to do my Master at UQ. I was teaching English at the University of Danang by that time.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

The selection process is very easy and gaining admission has been smooth for scholarship holders. I was helped by a number of people who have been very caring and understanding to the needs of international students.

I did recieve the scholarship of tuition fee and a living allowance of 683 dollars a fornight. This is a scholarship for employees of the Uni of Danang where I worked.

Well, I think it is very easy for me to study because I had already studied a lot about English grammar and English teaching methodology. The lecturers and tutors are very helpful and nice to talk to. The course is very value for money. I received all kinds of support that I needed.

The university facilities are very modern and high-tech. I enjoyed the local area so much. Accommodation is very cheap in Brisbane. It has been easy for me to find part time work because I have good language skills. I was working as a shop assistant by that time.I did not participate in any activities by the Student Union. I did not join the clubs or societies.

My job prospects have increased a lot as a result of my studies. I will be keeping in touch with fellow alumni. I got promotion after I finished my studies. Now I am the Section head in English Linguistics at the Department of English, Danang University.
