The US is a great place to study and an exciting place to live. My experience abroad has been good and I would recommend my university and department to other Indian students.
I did my BTech at the IIT, India. I then came to the US to do Sc.M at Brown University. I found the learning atmosphere excellent and wanted to continue here so I enrolled for the PhD program here and completed it in 2002.
The facilities offered at Brown are really top notch. My area of interest is in the field of Distributed Computing, Data Stream Processing, Wireless Sensor Networking and Publish-Subscribe Systems. I had the opportunity to work in these areas at the university.
I am currently working as an Associate Professor (with Tenure) in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University.
Located in Rhode Island.
