Overall, it was a good experience especially that there were problems that encouraged cross-disciplinary research. The main difficulty relates to government sponsored students from countries that don't have any MOU with USF. Their mechanism is not set to accept payments from foreign government. It takes a few months to sort this out. If you're a Fulbright or Ford scholar or any other scholar, you're held in high-esteem, treated specially. We get to meet the Deans and even Provost easily.
The most important element in your program of study should be the faculty. USF has committed and dedicated faculty members who provide extra help, care, guidance and training to ensure students achieve their full potential at graduation point. If you're an Asian, particularly a Malaysian, don't underestimate your writing abilities. You might not speak as much or as loud as the Americans, but we do write better than many of them.
