Very Supportive Environment Bangor University

- Bangor University, United Kingdom
- BSc Forestry
- Undergraduate Degree
- 2009
I was initially attracted to Bangor University by their excellent reputation for forest sciences and the wide range of courses available. Event though I began the course with no real previous experience of forestry, in three years I have gone from learning how to identify different tree species to producing inventories and management plans. This was greatly helped by the departments understandings and very supportive staff.
I studied a wide range of modules, some of which provided an opportunity to apply skills learnt in the classroom in a practical setting. The university also offers numerous resources for student use, some of which are set within the stunning backdrop of Snowdonia. With the qualification I have achieved through the university, I hope to go into forestry based education and hopefully promote agricultural and forest sciences to the next generation of students.
My experience in the UK has been an enriching and eventful one.I would advise future students to study hard, learn as much as possible, make a lot of friends and visit interesting places.
