My overall experience at CSU so far has been pretty good on the whole. Sometimes things seem a little poorly organised but this is generally getting better. I have the privilege of studying a new degree so there are a lot of brand new facilities which are very good to learn in. The relatively small campus (compared to others such as Adelaide Uni which is much bigger) makes it easier to meet people and run into friends on campus.

The selection process for my particular degree is fairly unique requiring completion of a questionnaire as well as the standard UAC process. Calls are then sent for interviews from which the offers are made.

There are many scholarships available through CSU. Many are CSU scholarships while some are also donated by other organisations or people. Most scholarships require evidence of financial hardship which as far as I can see means being in receipt of Centrelink funding (youth allowance). I do not receie funding from Centrelink so find it near impossible to obtain scholarships regardless of my academic achievements.

The course I am studying is very enjoyable whilst often being very challenging. The course is new so most of the lecturers are new to the Uni and very enthusiastic. The class size is fairly small so it is easy to receive the help required form staff.

The facilities are pretty good as far as lecture theatres labs and computer rooms goes. I never lived on accommodation but I believe the quality of accommodation is quite variable there are some new and some old buildings.

I believe my job prospects will be very good at the completion of my degree.
