The studies here are dynamic, competitive beyond texts. You need to work in team and also do independent study at the same time. As an advice, you should learn how to handle stress. Also improve the standard of your English if you are weak because the presentations are made in English and also English is used for a lot of other things. Mix in the society too.

SMU is known for business - its reputation is widespread. For business SMU is a good choice. The networking of the university is very good. From polytechnic – GPA – top 5. Online application and if successful you will be called for an interview.

So far no scholarship, plan to apply for it though. I get subsidy from the government. SMU regularly sends email on tution grant. There are some grants which require you to work in Singapore for 3 years.

My course is not only I.T (like programming) but its more about incorporating I.T and business. We need to learn Java, php and also business concepts. I come to university everyday – Monday to Friday. We have approximately 3 hours class (seminar) everyday. We have a mix of students. Teachers have high expectaction from the students and expect us to study and come prepared before we attend the class.

We have library, group study room, meet frens, modernized facilities etc. I live in a rented house, its not cheap. I am working during my holidays but not when I am studying. Its quite easy to get a part time job in Singapore compared to china. The place is 100% safe but I live quite far from my university.

After graduation, I intend to stay in Singapore. I have got government study grant so I have to stay here. This is a new university and we get to learn real life skill here. I don’t care much about the degree because while you are working for your degree, in your classes you will get practical skills and well equipped knowledge to secure a good job in the future.
