I think Drexel University College of Medicine is a good choice and I would recommend it to students interested in pursuing graduate studies in molecular biology and immunology etc.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

Getting into a PhD program is a bit tough but applying to schools where there is a chance of admission is advisable. You should apply for some top notch universities, some universities which are ok, some safe schools which you are sure you shall get in. I received assistance from Wisdom Mart, Hauz Khas. Students should apply for visa well in advance, since at time there might be unexpected delays in the visa process.

I have six hours of lecture per week, I hour journal club and 1 hour seminar. We have to do three lab rotations in the first year and we begin our thesis project in the second year. The lecturers are very helpful and approachable. I received full tuition scholarship.

The University has a very small campus. It is located in Philadelphia. The Indian Student Union is active but it is more for the main Drexel campus rather than the college of medicine.

I am still in my first year but yes I believe there should be a number of opportunities available when I graduate.
