Courses in the program have a focus on the delivery of services in a socially, environmentally and economically sustainable manner. I have gained an understanding of the needs and motivations of people and how to develop and manage businesses that conceptualise, develop and deliver interesting and innovative experiences for clients. I have also developed skills in the allied areas of communication, creativity and inter-cultural understanding, while courses in strategic and human resource management that enable me to understand how organisations function ‘behind the scenes’.

Email accounts are provided from the university to students for communicating with staff, other students and internet users. There are lots of computers for students to use with productivity software, applications and services. Everyone is provided with personal network storage and internet access 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Students and graduates can apply to the Australian Tourism Research Institute, the Pacific Area Travel Association, the Tourism Association of Australia and the Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education.
