It was a nice experience.

Selection process was based on reference letters. I needed a visa. It was an easy experience. It was easy to get tickets. I flew by Air India. The service of the airline was good and I was allowed to carry excess baggage. I landed at Changi airport. The institution was far away from the airport. I did not face any immigration issues. The university offered a meet and greet service at the airport.

I was fairly happy with the way the program was structured. The professors were good. I had the opportunity to work with Lai Zhiping. The research environment was good and I learnt a lot.

I did not live in the university accomodation. I lived in a flat. The facilities at the university were fairly good. The lecture halls were good. The library was good and the sports facilities were also good. I had a good time although the social scene was not the best. The weather was good.
