University of South Dakota student's Life

This is my first year in the United State. I came here in December 14, 2017 during the winter break to get a Bsc. degree in Computer Science. The first impression I had was amazing. First I was so impressed that the University came to pick me up at the Sioux Falls Airport, and it was all free. This really meant a lot to me Coming from Vietnam to United State of America, my English was not so good. The professors and academic advisors were very kind and patient with my leaning process. This makes me more comfortable and I could easily approach them to ask for help with my studies. Clearly, the faculty members are very committed to the students; they really want you to succeed and they help you build your career in the right direction.. I have also had the privilege of making great friends here in vermillion. You will be certain that someone will say hi to you on the street of vermillion no matter the color of your skin. It makes you feel at home and so welcome. As per the University, it is really a beautiful scenic view. The University looks like an harry Potter Movie with many beautiful settings. The University also has a lot of facilities like the Dome and the Wellness center where Student can exercise and have fun. University of South Dakota is indeed an amazing place to study, build your career and build remarkable relationships with great people.

Aggies life

I really enjoy studying at Uni of Adelaide. The best decision I had ever made is to study Agricultural Science at this Uni. This course program is logical and flexible. In first and second year. We need to learn a lot of foundation courses, like biology, chemistry, plant science, soil and water management and so on. And we need to finish 12 weeks working experience before third year. As me, I was an intern at one of horticultural companies and Roseworthy campus. In third year, we will have a lot of elective courses. In terms of our interest, if you like animal production, you can choose animal breeding and reproduction. If you like plant or soil, there are a lot of courses you choose. Based on the combination of working experiences and course studying, we have had a clear career planning. If you want to be Aggies, UoA is a good choice.

Amazing opportunity!

The University of Adelaide is among the top universities in the world, providing its students with a first-rate education; and I am very satisfied with the depth of knowledge that the University of Adelaide has given me during my master degree. Having said that, during my Biotechnology Masters, I’ve found that the highly qualified academic and research staff (in my course) are not only there to teach you advanced courses and highly necessary Lab skills but they are also very supportive when it comes to looking for further opportunities which makes a huge difference especially for international students. I believe that doing a Master of Biotechnology here provided me with the latest knowledge in my field required for accomplishing my goals.

Reputable, Quality and Endless Possibilities

From a well-equipped infrastructure setting to a highly supportive environment provided by academic staff and researchers, University of Adelaide is well deserved the title of “The Best University in South Australia.” Despite the fact that the university is located in the “City of Churches” where its tranquility and peacefulness perfectly match with the outstanding quality of education Adelaide Uni delivers, I am able to enjoy high standard teachings and world-class facilities without paying an exorbitant fee. Effective support system, vibrant student life, perfect study environment coupled with affordable cost of living, it is definitely the best “stepping stone” of becoming a knowledgeable, innovative and competitive graduate in the society!

I am glad that I chose this university. The admission process was easy to follow, and the staff in international student center were really supportive about the admission. The academic staff in Master of Biotechnology(Biomedical) gave me a lot of knowledge and interesting lectures, which inspired me to pursue science. They also gave me professional and helpful advice on my study. I recommend this university to other students who want to have significant experience in other countries.

You can't have a better place to experience American life and studies.

My experience in SUNY Plattsburgh started in August 2015. Going from my home in Cameroon and suddenly find myself in a total different world was scary at first. Luckily, Plattsburgh is a welcoming and lovely environment made up of wonderful people who make sure you don't feel lonely and discriminated while you're studying and living on campus. I faced so many challenges, but the most difficult one was the language. Coming from a different country, I had to upgrade my English and most importantly my accent. It was totally different from others and people couldn't get me easily during a speech or conversation. Fortunately for me, Plattsburgh has wonderful instructors who helped me to improve my English and today I feel much more confident when interacting with other students.

A world of opportunities.

My time at SUNY Plattsburgh has been great. The college offers a wide variety of majors where to choose from, with high quality professors that make your learning experience unique. The resources available to help you throughout your college experience are countless. There are dozens of clubs and organizations as well, which help you to grow both as a professional and as a person, and where you can meet people from all over the world. The college is located only a few hours away from major cities such Montreal, Boston and NYC. You can also take advantage of the beautiful Adirondacks to do some outdoor activities.

Finding home in the North Country

I started school here at Plattsburgh back in the fall of 2015. I was very anxious as to how a completely new environment in a new country would come to be, and I can gladly say that I have never looked back. The whole campus community, and especially the Global Education Office have been the best support system that I could ask for. I would highly recommend Plattsburgh to anyone who wants to grow not only as a scholar but also a leader.

A Thriving Experience for International Students

The university provides an amazing support system for its students, including international students to transition into tertiary education. I find the academic staff for my school (School of Biological Sciences) are not there to simply teach for the sake of teaching, but they are passionate about it, which makes a world of difference. This obviously then translates to an increase in my engagement with my studies, which led to me looking for further opportunities, such as a summer research placement which my school was very supportive of.
