Overview

AUT is a contemporary New Zealand university focused on providing exceptional student opportunities and learning experiences, and graduate success. As New Zealand’s second largest and fastest growing university, AUT is known for its research-led and professionally oriented curricula, and interdisciplinary approach to scholarship. More than 26,000 students are enrolled at AUT in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, studying at one of our three vibrant campuses. Over 200 programmes are offered through AUT's five faculties-- Culture & Society; Business, Economics & Law; Design & Creative Technologies; Health & Environmental Sciences; and Maori & Indigenous Development. AUT’s teaching is innovative and student centred. We encourage our students to collaborate, experiment and to experience working life beyond the classroom. In addition to teaching, we have a strong focus on innovative research in areas such as biotechnology, artificial intelligence and nutrition. As a result, our graduates enter the work force able to challenge routine thinking and provide innovative solutions. Auckland is an attractive destination, rated the 3rd most liveable city in the world (Mercer) due to its wealth of cultural and environmental attractions, from beaches, volcanoes and forests to world-class theatres and restaurants. With over 7,000 international students from over 100 countries, and 47% of academic staff being from overseas, AUT is an inclusive, outwards-looking university, and rated #1 for international outlook in New Zealand.

Great school for the money and convience.

I am American (there was not option to choose American). I have enjoyed my time at AUT and so far i am impressed. I feel like their goal is really to help my education. Not all universities are like that.
