Griffith University offers a plethora of academic, social, cultural, sporting and recreational facilities as well as advisory and accommodation services to students, thus making life at the campuses more than just exciting.

Queensland's subtropical climate is close to perfect, with mild winters, warm summers and an average of 300 days of sunshine per year. Temperatures average between 21 and 32 degrees Celsius in summer or between 9 and 20 degrees Celsius in winter.

Study zones

The Gold Coast campus has two extensive libraries that encompass a Laptop Lounge, DVD Lounge, Research Zone, Quiet Study Zone and Silent Study Zone. There’s also a computer shop, credit union and a bookshop on campus.

Meet and eat

Griffith University has many places to eat with a great variety of food on each of its campuses. These places also serve as meeting points where students can socialize.

The Gold Coast campus offers a wide range of dining options from coffee stands to a modern restaurant and wine bar, G's Wine Bar. Other venues include Coffee Bug and Coffee Cellar, the Uni Bar, and the Koala Café. Students are spoilt for choice on Nathan campus with seven unique dining experiences to choose from.

With more than 30 restaurants, cafes and bars, students can dine at a different eatery every day. South Bank has the cuisine and location to suit all tastes, appetites and budgets ranging from Turkish, Indian and Asian to Mediterranean, Modern Australian and Italian. Mt Gravatt and Logan also offer plenty of meet and eat options.

Sport and recreation

At Griffith, sporting facilities for beach volleyball, indoor soccer, basketball and tennis are on offer. Students can hit the gym or run laps on the National Standard Gold Coast athletics track. Indoor recreation at Griffith’s Uni bar includes a facility for the game of Pool.  

A wide range of recreation is available to students through many on-campus clubs and events.

Health

State-of-the-art facilities at the Gold Coast campus include the Griffith Centre for Medicine and Oral Health, the new Clinical Science precinct and the multimedia digital precinct. The Griffith Centre for Medicine and Oral Health is also home to the first School of Dentistry to be established in Australia in almost 60 years, located next to the Gold Coast hospital. The $36 million Centre is the latest addition to the expanding health portfolio.
 
International Student Advisors

Griffith International has a team of caring and knowledgeable staff advisors who are dedicated to supporting students during their studies. They coordinate the International Orientation Week for commencing students and provide an ongoing advisory service for international students on topics such as:

Accommodation

On-campus accommodation is available to students at the campuses and assistance is provided to find off-campus accommodation. Privately owned student accommodation, adjacent to the Logan campus provides the ideal environment for study and living.  For students wanting to live on campus, Mt. Gravatt Residential College provides fully-catered single room accommodation.
