The University of Canberra has many clubs and societies catering to a wide range of interests, including competitive teams covering most major sports and the University of Canberra Union Sports and Fitness Centre which is more than a gymnasium. Along with classes, cardio exercise and weights, it offers tennis, squash and indoor basketball courts and sits adjacent to two sports grounds.

Student Support for International Students

  • International Student Advisor (ISA) provides an advisory and referral service for a wide range of matters such as student visa related Issues, cultural adjustment and welfare, application for deferral of studies, UC Policies, course/ institution change, student support services and resources, emergencies and critical incidents.
  • Personal Adviser Scheme is available for every new international undergraduate student. Each student will have their own personal adviser who is a specially trained member of the academic staff assigned to give guidance and support throughout their degree.
  • Smart Study Passport is a new orientation program which consists of six modules that will assist newly enrolled international students a great start in studying at the University.
