Accommodation
At St Lucia
There are 10 Residential Colleges located on the grounds of the St Lucia campus within easy walking distance of all teaching and research facilities. Owned and managed by private providers, they typically provide students with individual study bedrooms. Three high quality meals per day are served in the dining hall and a small number of self-catered facilities are available to senior, postgraduate and mature-age students.
Short-term motel style accommodation and conference accommodation are also available here.
At Gatton
The Gatton campus accommodates around 360 students in three Halls of Residence. Each student is provided with an individual bed/study room and a range of academic and social support services such as: academic tutorials, social, sporting and recreational activities and pastoral care.
Apart from this, the University of Queensland's Accommodation Services provide student accommodation for new international students enrolled at the Gatton campus. There are approximately 30 houses, many of which are located on-campus. Others are located across the Warrego Highway, a five-minute drive from teaching facilities and the University campus. The choice of housing available to students includes fully furnished share-houses and partially furnished family houses.
At Ipswich
Students studying at UQ Ipswich can live in student accommodation close to campus or rent houses or units in the surrounding suburbs. Two independent providers offer student accommodation adjacent to the campus. One features a complex of five-bedroom, fully furnished, self-catering units where students rent a single bedroom and share facilities with four other flat-mates. The other has single study bedrooms with shared dining and recreational facilities. Students can choose from fully-catered, partially-catered or self-catered options. A third independent provider offers students self-catering accommodation in an apartment complex located in central Ipswich, still within easy walking distance of the campus.
