University of Queensland, Australia

Location

With a population of around 1.8 million, Brisbane is big enough to offer the advantages of a modern city, but small enough to retain the “country” charm and friendliness for which it is renowned.

When visiting the inner city, you will find the Brisbane River, parklands, museums, art galleries, a casino, malls, shopping districts, and a host of cosmopolitan restaurants and cafés. The thriving arts and cultural scene, along with an action-packed sports program, ensure you will always find entertainment to suit.

Within an hour’s drive south of the city you will discover the golden beaches and theme parks of the Gold Coast. A little further north of Brisbane are the beautiful Sunshine Coast beaches, plus national parks, rainforests, and attractions such as Australia Zoo. View a Students Day in Brisbane video or visit the Study Brisbane website for more information about student life in Brisbane.
