USQ Toowoomba
USQ Toowoomba operates three fully furnished on-campus Residential Colleges which range in cost from AUD125 to AUD270 per week depending on your choice of accommodation. These colleges provide:

• Comfortable single study bedrooms
• All meals provided with a wide variety of choice
• 2GB free broadband internet allowance per month
• Organised social and sporting events
• 24-hour security service
• Room cleaning and linen service
• Academic tutorial program

Living ‘on college’ is very much like belonging to one big family and is a certain way to make life-long friends.

The Student Village is another option within walking distance to the campus is which offers self-contained, furnished student apartments that are very affordable, ranging in cost from AUD80 to AUD150 per week. They consist of two to seven bedrooms and include kitchen appliances and laundry facilities.

Private rental of houses and apartments close to campus is also readily available.

USQ Springfield
Student accommodation within Education City at Springfield is the most modern on-campus accommodation in Australia at a cost of between AUD135 to AUD180 per week. Apartments range from two to seven bedrooms and include:

• advanced security and surveillance systems
• air conditioning
• cooking and laundry facilities
• parking facilities
• broadband wireless Internet connection
• a number of recreation and eating facilities, shops and BBQ areas
• easy access to beautiful natural bush land

USQ Fraser Coast
Convenient and affordable private accommodation is available at the Fraser Coast campus.

Arriving at USQ
Getting to USQ couldn’t be easier, with free transport from the airport available the first time you arrive to study with us and a paid pick-up service when you return from holidays or visits back home.

Employment
Some students studying in Australia choose to work part-time to support their studies. When you are granted an Australian student visa, you will automatically receive permission to work in Australia while you study. You can work up to 20 hours a week during the semester and unlimited hours during vacation periods.

This can change from time to time, so it is best to check with USQ if you plan to work during your time here. Our Careers and Employment staff can help you with your search for employment.

Multiculturalism
At USQ, we are proud of our diverse student population. Each year we have around 7000 international students study with us from a wide variety of countries globally. Students from all backgrounds come together to create USQ’s unique multicultural climate.

Each year, USQ enthusiastically participates in Harmony Day, the celebration of Australia’s success as a harmonious and culturally diverse nation. Celebrations on the day include international food stalls, a fashion show, singing, dancing and music.
Religion

Chaplains are available from the most widely represented faiths, and assistance is given to members of any religious group. The following Christian churches provide chaplaincy services: Roman Catholic Church, Anglican Church, Uniting Church, Presbyterian Church, Lutheran Church, Christian Leaders Network (CLN), Australian Christian Churches (ACC), Assemblies of God Australia (AOG).

USQ provides an Islamic Centre for our Muslim students and the Muslim community in Toowoomba. A Buddhist Chaplain is also available.
