Facilities & services
With award-winning buildings, campus-wide wireless internet access, 24-hour computer laboratories and state-of-the-art facilities and technologies across all faculties, UTS students get to use the best tools their industry has to offer.
Library
The UTS Library provides services through two campus libraries: Blake Library (City Campus) and George Muir Library (Kuring-gai Campus). It offers an extensive collection of both print and online resources, with more than 725,000 books, 93,000 full-text journals, newspapers, DVDs and essential course readings, as well as 450 computer terminals, wireless networks, printers, lockers and a Scholar’s Centre for postgraduate research students. Dedicated staff provide research consultation, workshops, online and face to face support.
Careers Service
UTS works closely with graduate recruiters and faculties to facilitate programs and events that equip students with key employability skills and the vital knowledge that will maximise their career outcomes. International students can benefit from:
- Work-based learning programs;
- Assistance to find professional internships or industry placements;
- Preparation for interviews;
- An online database of current job vacancies and notice boards at each UTS campus.
UTS Network Café
The UTS Network Café program brings together new international students with experienced UTS students, giving the newcomers the opportunity to expand their social networks, practice new languages, and get familiar with the local culture.
U:PASS
The U:PASS program is run by the Student Services Unit and is designed to assist students who are studying subjects that are perceived as difficult or historically have a high failure rate. U:PASS leaders are trained senior students who have previously completed the subjects and assist students in need of help through study sessions.
UTS Union
The UTS Union organises a host of social, cultural and sporting programs that make for an active campus life. This is achieved through regular social events, clubs and societies, sports and recreation. The Union also operates international food outlets to cater to the varied needs of students from different nationalities. A wide range of Halal food is available on campus and in many restaurants and cafes nearby.
