Accommodation
The University has five residential colleges located next to its Crawley campus. The residential colleges offer a safe and a secure environment to more than 1,000 students of all nationalities:
A residential college or hall offers comfortable accommodation, with all the facilities that enable them to enjoy a rich and varied academic and social life. Residential tutors offer support to students in their studies at no cost, when needed.
International students are required to fill out an application form and return it to the college of their choice along with:
Off-campus accommodation provides students with different choices such as shared accommodation, renting or full-board options.
Shared accommodation can either be an apartment, a unit or a house. Students are required to share their accommodation with other students or the property owners. The cost of utilities such as electricity and gas are also shared.
Students may rent or lease their own apartment, unit or house either on their own or with their friends. Accommodation close to the University is in high demand and good accommodation can be found all over Perth for less.
Full board accommodation, also known as home stay, involves students residing with families or individuals. Students enjoy the comfort of their own furnished bedroom and share the rest of the facilities with their home stay family.
The UWA Housing Office provides an online housing database for international students who have been offered a place, but have not yet enrolled.
International Centre
The International Centre offers an orientation program which introduces new students to the University and helps them to enroll for their first year. The Centre remains international students’ first point of contact for non-academic issues throughout their time at UWA.
