Academic Schools

Brunel University is a reputed University in western London offering courses at foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate, research levels. Apart from this the University also offers professional and executive development programmes, part-time, distance learning and modern foreign language courses.
 
In addition to foundation courses, the Institute also offers pre-masters in business, information systems & computing, as well as engineering & design.
 
The International Pathways and Language Centre offers a range of English courses that provide students an opportunity to improve their English and academic skills before they progress onto further study at Brunel or in the UK. Courses on offer include English@Brunel, Pre-sessional courses, In-sessional English courses.

The University is based around eight academic schools:

School of Arts

The School of Arts offers undergraduate, taught postgraduate and research programmes in a variety of subject areas including Drama, English, Music, Screen Media and Journalism. The four subjects that make up the School of Arts are housed in the modern and well-equipped Gaskell Building.

Brunel Business School

The Brunel Business School is one of the largest schools at Brunel with over 2,200 students. The School offers a range of programmes covering all the core business and management disciplines at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The School is home to six internationally recognised research centres with research categorised under six main subjects - organisation studies, enterprise, innovation, sustainability and ethics, marketing, international business and strategy, operations and supply chains, and management information systems.

Brunel Law SchoolThe Brunel Law School offers three and four year LLB degrees and a wide range of taught postgraduate degrees (LLM) in Law.  The School also offers also an intensive research programme, leading to degrees of Ph.D. or M.Phil. The School has three major research centres that focus on consumer and commercial law, criminal justice and child and family law.

School of Engineering and Design

The School teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in five major subject areas - Advanced Manufacturing & Enterprise Engineering, Brunel Design, Civil Engineering, Electronic & Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Wide range of multimedia, engineering, computing, electronics and engineering facilities are available within the School.

School of Health Sciences and Social Care

The School of Health Sciences and Social Care offers research and teaching in five major subject areas - Biosciences, Health Studies/Community Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Social Work. The School provides a diverse range of facilities including biosciences teaching laboratories, a gym, resource rooms, practice rooms with a range of training aids, laboratories with modern learning equipment, art rooms, a keep-living suite, observation rooms and work rehabilitation rooms.
 

School of Information Systems, Computing and Mathematics

This School encompasses the departments of Information Systems & Computing, and Mathematical Sciences. The School hosts seven world-class research centres internationally renowned for the cutting edge research. The School offers courses in computer science, financial computing, information systems, computational mathematics and communication technology.
 

School of Social Sciences

The School of Social Sciences encompasses the departments Social Anthropology, Economics and Finance, Politics and History, Psychology, Sociology and Communications and 14 research centres. The School offers thriving undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.

School of Sport and Education

The School of Sport and Education offer sport sciences courses that are up-to-date, dynamic, and forward-looking. The School offers undergraduate courses in physical education, sports sciences, youth and community studies; postgraduate courses in education, English, mathematics, sports and exercise psychology.
