The following is a list of important details pertaining to admissions, immigration and international student services:

• According to the latest UK government student visa guidelines, student visas will be issued to students only if their educational institution sponsors them.  Robert Gordon University has been granted a Category A Sponsor’s Licence for Tier 4 (Students) and hence can be a sponsor for its students.
• Qualified international students graduating from the UK universities can now work anywhere in the UK for two years under the Post Study work visa programme.
• The University offers a 'meet and greet service' from the airport to help arriving international students.
• Robert Gordon's has agents in most intake countries to assist students with their applications and the admission procedures.
• The University arranges for English courses through the Pre-entry English Programme to help students meet English entry requirements.
• International Student Advisors help students with their problems including immigration and visa issues and co-ordinate social programmes for students.
• Most of the courses do not have any fixed application deadlines for international students; however, students applying through UCAS or those planning to apply for Energy Centre courses need to follow certain deadlines.
• Academic entry requirements for all courses are set by the School which runs the course.

Scholarships
Students at Robert Gordon University benefit immensely from the many scholarships that have been instituted by the University. Scholarships are available for undergraduate as well as postgraduate studies.  There is also a unique sport scholarship which is tailored to meet individual needs on a case by case basis.

Undergraduate Scholarships
Scholarships specific to each year of the undergraduate programmes are offered at Robert  Gordon University.  Students in the engineering and business streams stand to gain from the many year-specific scholarships. All these scholarships are awarded only to full-time students.  

Postgraduate Scholarships

Students pursuing a taught one year master’s degree at the University are eligible for the British Council and Scottish Government sponsored Saltire Scholarships Scheme. Students from China, India, USA and Canada are eligible to apply for these awards.
