Robert Gordon University strives to provide safe and comfortable accommodation to all its international students during their study at the University. The University owns and manages eight well-connected and centrally located halls of residence across Aberdeen and international students are given preference during room allocation in these halls.  

Students can choose to stay in standard or en-suite rooms.  The accommodation is self-catering type with single study bedrooms and common living facilities. On their entry, students are provided with a bedding pack and a set of cooking utilities such as cutlery, crockery, utensils and other items. The room rent includes use of cooking and heating facilities, personal contents insurance, high-speed internet access and upkeep of communal areas.

All the halls include facilities such as pay and use laundry, car parking and bike storage space. Round-the-clock security cover is provided to all halls of residence. The University also has a number of flats which have been modified to meet the requirements of people with special needs.

Students need to lease these rooms on a long-term basis, typically for a period of 36, 40 and 50 weeks. International students can pay their room rent in three or four instalments, depending on the duration of their stay.

Students can also choose to stay in private accommodation as Aberdeen provides plenty of such facilities. Advise and contact information can be provided for this by the University's accommodation team.
