The Royal Agricultural College offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate courses, foundation degrees and top-up programmes through the following Schools:
School of Agriculture
The Royal Agricultural College is one of the few colleges that offer agriculture as a vocational subject. The School of Agriculture takes pride in being a centre of excellence for teaching in the land-based sector. The programmes offered by the School of Agriculture provide a solid base for students in specialist areas. Industrial placement is a prominent feature of the School’s degree programmes.
The School offers undergraduate courses in Food production & Supply Management and specialist courses in Agriculture in Organic Farming, Animal Management, Crop Production and Land Management.
Postgraduate courses include a Graduate Diploma in Agriculture and an MSc in International Rural Development with pathways in Sustainable Agricultural Systems, Climate Change and Development, Natural Resource Management, Organic Agricultural System, Tourism and Development and Sustainable Business.
Within the School of Agriculture is the Equine Department, which was set up in 1992. The School has strong equine industry links and has been continuously restructuring its degree programmes to meet evolving trends and employer requirements. The programmes are imparted through practice and theory covering all the aspects of equine-related enterprises and sports. Students pursuing the International programme go on study tours to Germany, France and the USA (Kentucky) and liaise with the best of equine institutions around the world.
The RAC offers undergraduate courses in Equine Management and International Equine and Agricultural Business Management. Postgraduate courses include Applied Equine Science and Equine Business Management.
School of Business
The College’s School of Business offers generic business management degree programmes that focuses on the needs of the food & agribusiness and rural business sectors. The College’s regular employer liaison ensures relevant training offered to students.
The Business School offers undergraduate courses in Business Management – International Food and Agribusiness and general Business Management.
Postgraduate courses include MBA programmes in International Food and Agribusiness, European Food and Agribusiness, Business Management in the Global Food Industry, Business Management in the Agricultural and Food Industries, Wine Business Management and Advanced Farm Management MA programmes in European Food and Agribusiness, Business Management and MSc programmes in Management Studies.
School of Real Estate and Land Management
Land and property are two main focal points in the School of Real Estate and Land Management, The programmes offered by the School encompass the theories, methodologies and practice of rural and urban property management. The degrees provide a firm foundation in managing traditional rural estates, buying and selling country houses, residential agency in towns, managing commercial property portfolios and investment funds and providing valuation and technical advice.
The School offers undergraduate courses in Rural Land Management, Property Agency and Marketing and other APC short courses. Postgraduate courses include Rural Estate Management , International Real Estate and Property Agency and Management.
