Location
University of Kent has two campuses in the UK – Canterbury and Medway - one centre in Brussels, Belgium, one centre in Paris, France, and one centre in Athens, Greece.
Canterbury
The Canterbury campus, built on 350 acres of parkland, is just 30 minutes walk from the Canterbury city centre. Canterbury was rated as the safest University city in England in the Complete University Guide. The campus has around 14,000 students including undergraduates and postgraduates.
The campus includes student accommodation, a library, a sports centre, a theatre, a nightclub, eating places and bars, shops, a medical centre, a daycare nursery, public access computer rooms, a chapel, launderettes and bus stops.
Medway
The University has a multi-million pound campus at Medway with state-of-the-art buildings and facilities. The Drill Hall Library, the Medway Building and the Pilkington Building have won prestigious awards both for design excellence and for their contribution to the Medway region’s regeneration.
The campus includes lecture theatres, teaching and seminar rooms equipped with latest technology, specialist music and design studios, rehearsal rooms and workshops.
Brussels
The University of Kent has a modern city campus at Brussels. Brussels is popularly known as the ‘Capital of Europe’. The campus is just a 15-minute drive from the centre of Brussels and is close to a metro station, a train station, regular bus and tram services.
The campus is near Kent’s partner universities like Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Brussels’ campus is designed with purpose-built facilities like libraries, public computers, bars, cafes and sports facilities.
Paris
The University’s Paris centre is situated at Reid Hall in Montparnasse. The campus is just a few minutes walk from the Luxembourg Gardens. The centre offers one-year postgraduate programmes based in England and France.
Facilities at the Reid Hall include computer workstations, free wi-fi access, classrooms equipped with audiovisual facilities, a library, a reading room, a music room and a lecture hall.
