Our University really is part of the city - our main campus is a 10-minute walk from the city centre.
The city is located in the centre of the UK. You can get a direct train from Manchester International Airport to Sheffield in under an hour. London is only just over two hours away by train. It has good transport links and is close to the Peak District countryside.
