I chose to study at the University of Sheffield because of its high standards of teaching and research. It has a very good reputation and is internationally recognised. I am doing a degree with a year in the industry. The quality of teaching of the subject is excellent. Lectures are interesting as you always learn something new while the laboratory sessions are fun. The university offers weekly tutorial sessions for each subject where you can ask tutors questions and verify your problems. All three libraries have an excellent range of books and you can go to the Information Commons any time you want, as it’s open 24 hours a day. The students´ union of Sheffield is the best in the UK. There is always something to do in Sheffield, no matter what your interests are, whether it´s a night out or shopping. When I´m not studying, I like to hang out with my friends, catch a movie or just relax at my flat. Sheffield is a very beautiful city. One of my best experiences in Sheffield so far was when it snowed - it was my first snow fall and having snow fights was fun!
