Doctoral courses in agriculture and other related subjects allow you to focus on a particular area of interest, researching it in detail. Topics on offer vary by institution but may include projects in biodiversity, crop science, climate change, landscape design, resource management, or sustainability.  Using both theoretical and practical research techniques your aim is to produce a final thesis that demonstrates new ideas and makes a contribution to the subject area. You will be well prepared to continue with academic research or enter industry in a specialised role.
