Doctoral economics courses – things to consider

A doctoral course in economics allows you to undertake extensive research in to an area of special interest. PhD programmes on offer vary by institution but include areas such as applied microeconomics, macroeconomics, monetary policy and economic growth. Under academic supervision you will investigate in detail your chosen project area and the aim is to produce a final thesis that demonstrates independent thought and makes an original contribution to the field. You must have research experience as well a strong academic record with an economics focus.
