A postgraduate course in accounting gives you the specialised knowledge and skills to prepare for a career in accountancy or related financial field. Alongside theoretical study you will keep up to date with current developments in accountancy; most masters degrees have a research element with dissertation and this experience is useful for further study or careers requiring quantitative research. This is not a professional accountancy training course but you may be able to sit professional exams alongside your studies or will be well prepared to take this next step at the end of your degree.
