Postgraduate architecture courses offer further professional training to students with an undergraduate qualification. In some circumstances applicants without an undergraduate degree may be accepted but a portfolio will be required. Postgraduate course structure varies depending on national requirements but generally you will have lectures and practical studio sessions to investigate the many issues affecting architectural design. In some countries further accredited training is required in order to practise. There are also research programmes that do not involve any professional exams.
