At postgraduate level there is a range of courses that provide teaching or allow research projects in chemical and materials engineering. This subject area is covered by courses including chemical, biochemical and petroleum engineering, and material and biomedical sciences. Some consist solely of taught modules whilst others incorporate this with an independent research project. You will develop expertise and professional skills that will be very useful when entering industry; alternatively you may prefer to continue with academic research.
