A postgraduate course in dentistry gives you the opportunity to specialise in a practical discipline or to research a particular area. Professional masters courses include dental hygiene, orthodontics and paediatric dentistry. You will develop advanced knowledge and skill in order to practise, as well as gaining useful research skills. Supervised research courses can include any area of dentistry and balance supervised learning with research, you will produce a final thesis. Depending on previous qualifications you can return to practice or continue with academic research.
