A postgraduate course in veterinary medicine gives you the opportunity to develop expertise in a particular subject area. Research topics are varied and include areas of biomedical science or animal welfare and ethical management. Your project may include clinical trials or other practical investigation and you will produce a dissertation. Some courses also have core taught modules and there are fully taught courses in some subject areas. You may wish to continue with further research, consider roles in consultancy or policy, or return to practice.
