Biomedical engineering is a relatively new discipline at undergraduate level allowing you to investigate how biology, medicine and technology integrate to meet the increasing requirements of the medical world. Biomedical courses include a combination of lectures and laboratory work with many incorporating projects tackling real-world problems through industry collaborations. There are career options in biomedical design, construction or development; alternatively you may prefer to continue with postgraduate study in this or a related discipline, including graduate medicine.
